Week 12A: Other Online Tools

The other online marketing tools that can help grow my business would be Spotify, and meetup groups. My business is currently on Soundcloud, and my husband has a LinkedIn page that lists our company. We would use the music streaming for growing our audience and fan base. The meetup groups would be used for networking and possibly growing our clientele.

Week 11B: Blogs I Commented On

The blogs that I commented on were: Cristina Ayala Arianna Feliz Matthew Daigneau

Week 11A: Email Newsletters

My business would use a newsletter to inform our audience of an upcoming project or a new artist that we are working with so that the audience can be ready for an alum or song release. We would send a newsletter out quarterly so that there is enough content to present in the newsletter. When it comes to content for a music production newsletter we would definitely have to be creative with our posts so that we do not seem redundant. I think our audience would like newsletters that 1. Show behind the scenes video footage of some of the production process (maybe when an artist is singing in the booth) so that the audience can feel that they are on the journey with the artist. 2. Sneak-Peeks to a new song 3. Share inspirational stories about our experiences showing resilience and persistence in this industry to encourage our audience to keep fighting for their dreams. 4. Start a contest for singers/rappers to write a song to one of the beats that we created and the winner gets free stu

Week 10B

For my business blog I would use categories that pertain to music, and independent new artists. We would blog about current projects and artist that we are working with so that the public will be on the look out for their new music. It would help to grow my business because the target audience would be music lovers. Since we are a music production company they can both utilize our services and enjoy the music that we create via streaming platforms. I have commented on the following blogs: Adriana Macias Cristina Ayala Jason Bush

Week 10A: Blogging for Business

Since blogging is considered a good platform to interact with customers, it would be beneficial to add a personal touch to a business blog. Adding human interest to a blog post will appeal to the consumers' emotions. One reason is that it evokes an emotional bond between the brand and the consumer because the consumer feels a connection with the company in regards to the content of the post. For example, the consumer can relate to the brand through a success story or even a failure that turned into a moment of education that helped serve as a building block to the company's current success. Another reason is that it can show a level of "intimacy". It shows that even though a business may be a corporation, they are still human and a personal post may cause the consumer to feel like "family". Thus, ensuring their loyalty of being a long-time customer and not feeling like they are seen or heard by the company and not being able to relate in any way.

Week 9A: Twitter (Alternate Assignment)

After viewing other accounts that are similar to my business Twitter account, I have noticed that a lot of music producers have the same habit of just linking their Twitter accounts to their Instagram and/or Facebook accounts. It's rare to see engagement on Twitter in regards to their posts. They have a small number of likes, nothing comparable to the hundreds on Instagram. Some post on Twitter about current issues in the world, while others just post their work (usually the linked posts from Instagram and Facebook). Their cover photos are their logos or them in the studio working. Besides the accounts that post about current events and political issues, these similar accounts seem to use Twitter in the same capacity that I use it for my business.
