Week 8A: Get Visual (Alternate Assignment)

Between Instagram and Youtube, the current social media visual platform for Churchboy Beats would have to be Instagram. This is the platform that we use on a weekly basis and engage more with our followers. We currently have 318 followers and it is effective for our business because it helps to get our music out to more people because everyone doesn't use Soundcloud, which is the primary platform that we upload our music to. We usually post weekly on Instagram. We try to post content at least twice a week. We use top trending hashtags for music and production, such as #music, #musicproduction, #musicproducer, and #recordingengineer. We also use hashtags that describe our music such as #hiphopbeats, #instrumentals, and #mellowhiphop to name a few. Along with hashtags that describe our company and the type of music we create, we also use hashtags for the city that we want to market to such as #losangeles or #inlandempire. We do this to broaden our reach on Instagram and hopefully gai

Week 7B: Facebook Strategy

Image
Above is the screenshot of my scheduled posts for my business page on Facebook. I believe that these posts will engage our audience because they  advertise the type of work we provide. One post is a link to our music, another post is an actual 35 second teaser video of our new music, and the third post is an advertisement to contact us for music production services. The production services are not limited to just music artists. I feel that there is a misconception about our clientele and many would assume that we only service music artists. Anyone who would like music playing in their videos (YouTube, educational, wedding, etc.) can contact us as well. I hope that the third post grows our audience after followers realize that we create custom music for video projects as well. I feel that these posts will cause our audience to engage by commenting their feedback or possibly sharing our posts. Also, it may cause them to click our "call to action" button to learn more about th

Week 7A: Engaging Your Customers - FaceBook Strategy

The seven businesses that I chose to follow on Facebook are XXL Mag, Reddit (HipHop Heads), Underground HipHop Blog .com, Milk & Honey, West One Music Group, Millennial Sound Studios, and UnplugdLA. I strategically chose these businesses for networking and promotional purposes. XXL Mag, Reddit (HipHop Heads), and UndergroundHiphopBlog.com are all music blogs that promote music whether from indie artists or main stream. They could possibly help to promote our music by having us on the blogs, thus growing our audience. Another reason that I chose these businesses is for networking purposes. Milk & Honey is a music marketing and A&R company that we can refer our independent artists to for management and A&R. West One Music Group is a global music agency that can help us promote our music outside of southern California. Millennial Sound Studios is a Riverside based recording studio that we can network with and UnplugdLA is a Los Angeles based entertainment soiree/open mic

Week 6B: Post Reach vs. Post Engagement

Post Reach refers to the number of people who have viewed the post that you made. Post Engagement refers to the actual engagement on your post from others on Facebook whether it is by liking, sharing, or commenting. Knowing the difference between these two terms is important because it will help someone better understand the analytics of their Facebook business page. It will help with realizing what type of posts get the most engagement from fellow Facebook users whether they follow your business page or not. A business can use Facebook insights to better help their customers because insights gives a business owner all the information that they need in regards to how the Facebook community is reacting to what they are posting. The insights show information such as the post reach vs post engagement and will afford the business the opportunity to realize what the viewers like so that they can post content that caters to the Facebook community's interest, thus ultimately helping t
