Week 3A: Communication - Business and Consumer


Yes, I have had many instances where I had a hard time communicating with a business. It really did not matter if I called them on the telephone, or spoke with them online via the "chat" pop up. I do not feel that social media makes it easier to get the problem resolved. It has helped to get our company noticed by other professionals. They now follow our Instagram page which is pretty cool because that opens the door to network with seasoned professionals in our industry. Recently I contacted another music producer who has already reached the level of success that my husband and I are trying to reach with our music production company. Although, the producer stated that he was too busy to meet with us, he did provide information that will help us grow the business and put us on the right path to reach success in the music industry.

We love the positive comments. That encourages us that we are running the business right! We have never received negative comments about our business. If our business received negative comments then we would probably address them to find a resolution for our consumer in regards to our services. We have received music critiques from close friends or family and we take the comments into consideration when producing records. The critiques I consider positive experiences because they are coming from people close to us to help us run a stronger business.

    I agree that social media is only useful if the businesses pay attention to these platforms. If they do not actively monitor their consumers' posts, it is a disservice to both the business and customer.
    It reads as though you and your husband are using social media platforms to its betterment...and yes, you are running your business right! Best wishes and continued success!

  2. Social media is helpful when reaching out to others, sometimes we et lucky and the person we message will respond with help tips. I bet positive comments give you lots of motivation to continue to try harder.

    In the music world there is a lot of competition and jealousy. You have been lucky to have someone who provided you with information to help your business grow. It is cool that you have made an Instagram page to lure people to your business.
    It is always good to have family involved in your business so you can have constructive critiques to help you improve your business.

    1. I totally agree! We are really thankful that another music producer took my husband under his wing and has been mentoring him in regards to being a professional music producer. He is the one who told my husband to turn this talent into an actual business.
